At 7 x 6 x 1.2 mm, the Type ZX module is the smallest Wi-Fi module in the Murata portfolio. In addition to the Cypress IC, this small, highly integrated module includes fast clock crystal, RF filter and RF switch. Minimal external circuitry is required to complete a radio design; add an antenna, power source, processor, and associated interface hardware and the radio hardware design is complete.
The Type ZX is highly versatile as it can be implemented in a wireless LAN system utilizing a microcontroller or in a scenario with higher-throughput requirements employing a microprocessor.
